My little Bichon was so excited that we were home, he ran out the door and down the street. Thank GOD for the bystanders that helped get the little Bichon before he got hurt.

Bichon Bichon Bichon
so..... I was on the Humane Society website and saw a cute little Bichon mix (I think half poodle) I called them and they told me he was 5 yrs and housetrained. That he loved kids and the previous owners told them he was too barky. My heart is smitten immediately. I loaded the kids into a cab and headed to get the dog. I went into the Humane Society and felt guilty about not talking to my husband about it, so then... I called him, he yelled, and then I told him I will get a cat instead. Then my husband showed up an hour later and went right until the dog center. He ignored my little Bichon to look at the Coonhound that just howl at us, the senior German Shepard and the lab mix. We decided to get another siamese cat and although we were not in love with him. So has we are in the process of adopting the cat, my husband looks over at me and says " get the Bichon." And so Toby the Bichon has been added to our family. And I love him so much! Thank God for dogs, cats and the humans that love them. !
Side note: The dog is not barky!

THE HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY!!!
Okay, so I watched the Housewives of New Jersey last night! Oh my goodness, I love them!!
Caroline is my favorite. She is a straight talking, tough as nails exterior with a sweet as honey interior. Her and her husband are own a successful business and seem to have a great relationship. During the previews, I felt bad for Danielle. the divorced mom of the bunch, who says she has yet to get a settlement from her ex. She made herself look desperate by attemping to go on a blind date with someone she made on the internet. Teresa is the perfect image of a "Jersey Wife" with her olive skin and big curly hair and sassy personality. Her husband owns a construction business and she spends, spends, spends. Jacqueline is the sweet former single mom who is married to Caroline's brother. She seems very humble and thankful to land a wealthy husband to help her and daughter. Dina is Caroline's sister and also married to the brother of Caroline's husband. She has the image of the show as Tamra on the Housewives of O.C. They try to portray her as being mean and highlight the tension between Danielle and her. I really like this season, this ladies actually watch their own kids and it seems more genuine.

Responsible Dog ownership!!!
Pets are life long commitments! In less your pet hurts someone or is dangerous, it is your responsibility to train your dog and they look to you for guidance and direction.
If you must get "rid" of your pet, please take them to a rescue shelter. Most breeds have rescues dedicated to them. So research it and take them to there. Some humane societies euthonized pets, so please find that out before taking them there.
Consider your reasons for owning a pet.
Is it just to have one, is it companionship? is it for protection?
It is okay to buy a dog for extra protection, but remember they are still companions and need our love and time.
If you want a dog just to carry in your purse and show off, please dont get them.
Do you own or rent?
I was renter for years and refused to get a pet until I OWNED my own home. I am not saying renters arent good pet owners. I am just saying a lot of landlords put lots of restrictions on pets in their complexes. And I know a lot of people who have pets in complexes that dont allow them. And when they find out the pets is outta a home. If you owe, check with your homeowner's insurance to see if your dog breed is not covered.
Do you have time to exercise the dog?
In less, you have acreage for your dog to run, most dogs need a long daily walk. This stimilates their mind and burns energy. Dogs who dont get walks, are more destructive and unhappy. My high energy boxer sometimes gets two walks.
Do you work long hours, how will the dog go to the bathroom?
If you dont have a doggy door, and you work 10 hrs shifts, it will not work
VET bills, vacations and etc.
If you get a pup, they will need a round of shots, exams, neuter. I found out my 7 mo old boxer had a bad liver and we had to shell out more money on testing.
Who will watch your pet if you have to go out of town?
Think about these things before you go looking for cute maltipoos for your handbag or that pit bull for your yard (side note: Unless, you have a Great Pyrenees or another out dog, please keep your dog indoors!!

best friend
So, I am sitting in bed with my husband at a retreat center.. Wait a minute, it is not that kind of retreat center (oxymoron rule applies here) We are giggling and laughing about crazy stuff, it reminded me why I love him so much. 8 yrs, my Prince Charming waited in the door with a baseball cap, a hoodie and sultry deep TuPac esque voice and changed my life. He showed what it was like to take a city bus, boil a hot dog (LOL), Italian beefs sandwiches and how to blend in with "hood" people. I love you, baby,
